The idea is simple and joyous. Led by Bach’s rhythmic Prelude in D Minor, the dancer plays with the single and multiple images of a hand and a leg’s dance movement. Coupled with the creative use of digital editing, the audience is naturally drawn into a mood of swing and dance.
Cast and Credits
Born in Hong Kong, Bruce Wong started studying contemporary dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 1995 and toured overseas with the Academy many times. He was awarded a scholarship from the Asian Cultural Council to participate in the American Dance Festival in 1998. Wong took part in a charity tour to Singapore and Malaysia with the Hong Kong Southeast Asia Dance Troupe in 1999. After graduating from the Academy, he joined CCDC in 2000. In 2009, Wong was awarded the Music and Dance Fund from the Hong Kong Jockey Club for further studies and graduated with a Master Degree from the Hollins University, US.
His recent choreography includes The Legend and The Hero (with Willy Tsao and Dominic Wong), Dress Me Down in Strip Teaser 2012, Re/dis-connect in It’s My Turn, and How to Become… in Eureka. Wong is also passionate about the martial arts and was the section champion at the 2nd Hong Kong Open Wushu Championship in 2006.
