LIGHT is a short dance movie inspired by the quarantine of the artist Maya Gomez in COVID-19. A roller coaster of feelings, a mixture of boredom, uncertainty, anxiety, hope, patience — but also joy, gratefulness, fun, and love.

"Brought back in the simplest way of living,
facing ourselves all alone.
Reflecting uncertainty.
Submerged in the unknown.
Everything is in Pause, thanks God the clock still runs.
The idea of time switched.
We have time,
lots of it.
The idea of eternity is scary."

Director's Statement

Challenging times for everyone. Every single person has a story to tell about this global lockdown; some more unfortunate than others. I hope for light at the end of the tunnel for everybody as we search for what makes us feel alive.

Grateful to be where I am.
